Here are two aluminum brackets I made. The one with the rubber isolators holds the silencer can and the other holds the coil.

Deere's headlight was literally on top of the exhaust on the fire series, so they put that heat shield in to avoid melting the plastic bezel. The foam stuff still melted. If you've adjusted the light more forward since that picture you should be fine.

I would imagine similar circumstances during product development and your Swiss Cheese hood would be something they might have done to figure out where things needed to be on a production sled.

I'll bet they would not have used a hood with a 2x4 screwed to it

I thought that might really screw up the drag coefficient unless you bevel cut the leading edge.

Thought I would try my luck on custom seat made from the Doo seat. The rear storage would be nice ……
Have not decided if I am going to use it yet or not. Found a nice LED tail light the same size as the Deere footprint.

Let the fun begin! For any project like this, the fun starts when you get to put it all together!

Tunnel brackets and heat exchangers.

To rivet or to bolt? I thought long on this and went with all stainless button head socket cap screws and stainless nylocks. I figured if you need to take something apart it would be easier in case of a needed change. Also I wanted the stainless fasteners showing for the overall look I am going for.

You can see on the right heat exchanger that I had to add a long bent neck on it.
It was made to get me past the break assembly so I could attach a hose to it.
There was zero room to get a hose down there. The hose I attached to it was a small miracle in itself. Finding the right hose with the proper Z bend took me two weeks to find by going through auto parts stores inventories in the back room.

The steering column was put in for a final fit up before I welded the spline in on the neck. It then went out to be powder coated like the rest.
