I picked up the console yesturday, finished it today and now its ready to go on the sled tomorrow.
Now I am finished the restoration. LOL

I finally got my hands on the original front belt guard, so after some sanding and paint I can install it. I believe this to be the last part I need to complete the restoration, unless I am lucky enough to come across a starter kit. :think:

Yup, that's the piece. I've painted mine three times so far, and I still don't like how it looks.

Interestingly, they used this same part again in '75, perhaps the increased HP was judged too much for the plastic belt guard.

This sled is gonna look better than new when it is done :clap: . Can't wait to see it. :beers; OOPS didnt let the pics finish loading :wall: , it does look better than new. Very nice, looks great. :clap:
