1972 500 Idler Wheel

Post by MnStreaker »

I am not gifted mechanically and am new to vintage sleds, so please forgive me in advance for not using the correct terminology as I try to describe my question.

I just purchased a 1972 JD 500. There is a space in betweek the rear drive wheel and the bogie wheel. It would seem that an idler wheel should go in this spot, but I don't see how it can attach. Is one suppose to go in this location, and if so, how? Photos, etc are appreciated.

You can go to http://www.vintagesnow.com to find answers to most of your parts related questions.
