Well first off what I have is a 1979 John Deere Trailfire for sale. I bought this sled 4 years ago, and when i did it was a pile of junk. Over the four years I have done a complete rebuild of the motor. Top, and bottom end. During the rebuild I had the engine bored .20 over, and had US chrome do my cylinder work. I also Purchased a brand new Mikuni carb for the sled after all of the engine work. The hood was in rough shape when I got the sled so i did the fiberglass work myself. So the hood is not perfect. Then i redid the sled in my own custom paint scheme. I painted everything under the hood flat black. This last winter I ended up having a small accident with the sled and it tore off a wear bar during a ride. That is the only damage to the sled. I would recommend replacing the hood. I have been trying to track down a new hood for the sled. Currently the hood is off the sled. Along with the sled I have a slightly used set of stock cylinders for the sled. ALong with that I have a brand new tach and speedometer that are in the dash but not hooked up yet. I planned on finnishing that project this last summer but never got around to it. I also believe I have a set of brand new stock pistons for the sled to. Then their is also a speedo cable. It has a brand new throttle cable on it as well currently. I also replaced the grips, and has a brand new windshield. The track is in decent shape as well. The snow flap is in good shape as well. I redid my seat myself on the sled. All of the wiring works on the sled. I also want to include that i did patch the exhaust on the sled as well. This sled was a Joy to have in the four years I had it. I loved this green machine, but I'm currently in college and am sad that I must part with it as well. I am very straigh up and honest and would love to answer any questions about the sled. On request I can take more pictures of the sled for anyone who wants to see them. I would like $350 or best offer for it. This price just covers what it cost me to have the cylinders bored and rechromed. So in all honestly I believe that it is a good sled for the right person. So I hope anyone who is interested please contact me. The sled is currently located about 8 miles north of Kokomo, Indiana.
You can contact me here on this site or at my email that is regularly checked. That is justnew52@gmail.com, From their I can give people my cell as well.
