Same engines?

I recently read elsewhere that the dual plug motor used in the Liquifier is the same engine that Kawasaki put in the LTD's. Does anyone know if that's true? The reason I ask is that I not only own John Deere but other brands as well and I need parts for a water pump for my '80 LTD with the 4/6 motor and was hoping that this would give me more options for a parts search. Thanks.

Similar engines, but not exactly the same, as the Deere versions were built to different specs. I don't know if the water pump would interchange, but the Deere version might not be much easier to find.
