Are wisesco pistons higher compression?

Post by Hemi guy »

A friend of mine was having problem toasting pistons in his hopped up invader with shaved heads. upon further inspection, i found a ring of detonation marks on the piston, where it comes close to the lip in the combustion chamber. when we compaired a stock piston to the wisesco, the wisesco looked slightly higher domed. i was thinking about going a similar route on a liquifire, but maybe i will just do one or the other..... any thoughts?

Thanks,
Dusty

nope wiseco are the same CC dome. I would recommend either running straight 110 octane and backing off the timing a bit or going with regular 2A heads, fuel now a days is no good for high compression especially ethenol blended..
