Track For a 78 Spitfire

I'm having trouble finding a track for my 78 spitfire. Any suggestions.

LOL...buy lotto tickets and then when you win buy one with a good track? Better chances!

Their very few and far between and I have yet to see an easy conversion...their just isn't an option but wait and try and get lucky and buy a parts sled with a good track, or pay the price for one that's out and hope the seller doesn't know what he has.

I think on VSCA there's a Spit for sale with a good track. That might be your best option. If I remember correctly the whole sled was advertised for the price of a track.

The others are correct....it's less expensive to buy an entire sled with a good track and much easier to find that way. Two seasons ago two NOS Spitfire tracks sold for $600 each and I haven't seen any since.

have a 340 kohler from a 78 john deere spitfire, no clutch or carb, turns over. i was told it ran but dont have time to play with it. $75obo. also have a track for the same sled, its in really good shape for its age. $150obo. will send pics on request, just drop me a email. thank you.
