340 Liquifire Pipe VS. Cyclone Pipe

Post by ski »

Looking at a 340 Liquifire pipe and the 1978 340 Cyclone pipe there dimensionally doesn't seem to be any difference. Is there an internal difference. I don't know the exact year of the liquifire pipe. Hood style is similar to my Cyclone. Unpainted aluminum tunnel.

Ski,

Pat is correct. Also, there are internal differences as the LF was tuned for a higher RPM, and the Cyclone unit should be smaller in diameter.

I hope this helps,

Outside dimensions including diameters are equal...I guess a dyno pull will tell the difference...
