These New fangled 83 Liquifires are still giving me fits.. Little confused when trying to buy pistons off ebay. They list sleds that are for 79 to 82 Liquifires. Dont think the 83 and 84,s are any different are they?.. Anyway they list theres as fitting model numbers TA440A also B and C.... Motor i have is TC440A. The ones i need are for a stock 68 mm.. Can somebody help me out here.. Been working on 70,s stuff way to long.

Hey Chuck,
All the 1980-84 Liquifire's use the same piston. No idea why the listing for them are always goofy. Some even show a "79" Liquifire. Some listings put the LF, Sport and Trailfire pistons all in the same listing as interchangeable too.
I think the TA440A/B/C are the Sport/Trail motors, but I would have to go look at my sleds to be sure.
I would go with a reputable brand that specifically lists the Liquifire application.
I hope this helps,
-Joe

I believe the TC denotes the HSRI system but the pistons are all the same.

Yes, and all Sportfire/440 Trailfire pistons are the same as the Liquifire as well. It's not as complicated as they're making it out to be.
