82-84 hsr cdi unit
hello anyone have a used hsr cdi unit or a source for an aftermarket one ? does hewtech make these ive got a stator and flywheel just need the cdi box thanks wade

I had bought an 82 LF with an Polaris CDI unit patched in. It ran great until motor warmed up good. Put a HSR unit in it and it did the same thing. Turned out it was the stator that was junk, NOT the Polaris CDI. Believe it was from a 84 to 88 Indy 400 liquid twin. Think there is a discussion on this in the Kaw section under 80-81 to 82-84 differences. Have more questions? I will try to share what I know.
