84 Liquifire 440 that I have decided to part with. Previous owner claims it hasn't ran since 99 and the registration decals agree with that. It was stored in a shed up until this spring when it was pulled out to make room. I would consider this a 7 out of 10.
The good..
It is a complete relatively low mileage 84 liquifire with proper clutch and coil pack. New JD belt just installed. Track is good, gauges work, flip up dash is not cracked, belly pan is very nice, bumpers are straight, skis are straight, I cleaned the tank and the carbs. Fresh fuel lines. It starts easily and runs good (see below).150 + lbs of compression on each side. Sled has been cleaned and degreased. Comes with the original cover.
The not so good...
Seat needs recovered. The right rear side just in front of the manufacture stamp has made contact with something at some point. The hood has a few small cracks. Windshield is cracked. The engine does run good but is definitely acting like it needs a crank seal on the mag side. No surprise there. The throttle cable needs to be replaced along with the throttle and brake block. Needs a new gas cap along with tank inlet grommet.
I lost interest quickly today when I discovered the cranks seal issue. I don't have a JD clutch puller and don't have the time to pull the engine and such. What I do need is wood pellets for heating the house this winter so the sled has to go. Plenty more photos available. Sled is located Maryland. Asking $1,000 b/o. Not interested in trades unless you can bring 4 tons of quality pellets.
I do have a NOS liquifire seat available for an additional $400. Price is firm on the seat.
If the sled doesn't sell by 9/16 I am going to have to resort to Ebay.
Thanks for the space!
