76 440 Liquifire for sale & odds & ends

Post by atcwanab »

Hello all. It has been a tough decision, but due to lack of an allowance from the warden, I am going to sell off the remaining JD sled stuff I have. What I have is a complete 76 Liquifire 440 in running condition. Below are pics and I will get a couple of youtube links up. First, you will notice, the previous owner had a piece of sheet metal bent and bolted to the belly pan to prevent it from damage. I have not had it off to inspect underneath, but he told me it was in great shape and he wanted to keep it that way. I do have a better snow flap for the sled, but it is not on it. The hood was repainted prior to my ownership, and does have a few scratches that could be fixed with a light sand and new paint. I bought this as a restoration project, but have since bought a house........... It has not had a tune up yet this year but does have new brakes. I put a gallon in it, opened the fuel line, and it started on the third pull. I haven't had a single problem with it in the two winters I have owned it. The seat was just redone by John's Upholstery this year.

In addition, I have a complete, but entirely tore apart 82 Liquifire. The belly pan was rough so I replaced it with one off a donor that was painted yellow as you can tell. The suspension is free and I had shafts machined for it. I also drilled and taped the cross members with greaserts to make maintenance easy. The seat is original and in great shape except for the wood is rotted on the bottom and would have to be replaced to be remounted.

I also have a hood and engine off a 78 Liquifire 440. Someone had started to sand the hood. The engine ran great when I pulled it but the sled was trashed.

I am asking 400 firm for the 76 which includes the seat and cover. For the rest, make an offer. Located in Howell, MI. Email me @ jaredbickford@hotmail.com
