I'm looking for eight NOS AM52032 bogie wheels. These are the steel centered ones used in '72-'73.
I have seven, and need eight more to finish the suspension. The '72 400 is a hopeful participant in this February's Ride with the Champs.
Not interested in used...long story.

I know this is off topic, but is there any prospect on rebuilding these? I know they just have the balls in them instead of the bearings, but i will be in need of a full set of 15 next summer when i do my '73 600.....

With the steel construction and rivets, they are going to be a lot tougher to take apart than the aluminum rear idlers.
Consequently, I have never even tried to take one apart. I suspect that there's nothing that can be done for them, but I don't know that for sure. Take one apart and report back.
You could paint the aluminum ones black, that's about the only option I can think of.

I took one apart about a year ago. If i remember correctly, these wheels have aluminum rivets. I know mine came apart easily. There are 9 (I think) steel balls inside of each one. The wheel itself acts as the outer race and the center bushing acts as the inner race. At the time, I played with the idea of having them machined to accept something like a 6202 bearing, but i ended up getting a good used set of aluminum ones to put under it for now. I'll do some looking at this project again in the coming days to see if it is a viable option without effecting the looks of the wheel at all. It will be few weeks for sure before i do anything. I have too many other things torn apart right now. Good luck on your search.

I got it with a bunch of other stuff a few years back and have no real use for it. I rebuilt my '72 500 suspension with all of the newer steel style as it was too hard to find enough of the original kind. So if you want it, send me your address and I can get it out to you.
