84 Track

Post by 70WT1 »

Making of list of needed items for a 84 TrailfireLX, looks like its going to need a track. It sat for a long time on the ground. What does everyone use for replacements? New/Used any info would be great.
Thanks

You can convert to a Liquifire rubber track. But it won't be original if that is important to you and the Liquifire tracks are getting harder to find. There never was an aftermarket cleated track and the aftermarket track for the Liquifires has been unavailable for a while. If the rubber is in good shape, but the cleats are rusted you could just replace the damaged cleats. Good cleated tracks for these sleds are tough to find and I wouldn't toss it unless it was severely damaged. I know guys who have taken two damaged tracks, one had a ripped outer belt, and put together the good belts and cleats to make one good track.

Check out this track conversion on a Sportfire if you haven't seen it already: http://www.jdsleds.com/community/viewto ... 37&t=12981. He converted over to a more readily available Polaris track.
