I am finally getting around to working on my pair of 76 300's. I am wanting to replace the Walbro WD carbs with fresh new Mikuni's. The Walbro's are missing parts and are frozen up from setting for so long. I found a replacement kit on ebay(link below), just wondering if anyone knew which model Mikuni would be best for the Kohler K295-2AX.

I have put a 32 or 34mm Mik on a 300, it was on a friends machine so I can't get you the jetting numbers but they can be made to work. You will need a different throttle grip for the machine also as the stock grips on those machines have too short of a throw to open the slide all the way.

Re: Mikuni for my 76 300's?
Thanks for the reply, this is all good information to know. I would like to confirm that this motor is worth putting some money into before throwing down too much cash for parts. It seems to have good compression(have not checked it with a gauge yet). It does have spark on both plugs, so what else is there? Good fuel supply.
I wish there was someone close by that I could borrow a good carb from just to test it out. I guess that is the down side of having something that not very many people have.
