I had missed the cutoff time in Alex by 5 min. the day before so my mechanic and I were standing in the crowd when this photo was taken. I have been told by our own I-500 (Chuck) that he was there too! Great photo!

I too missed the cutoff time to Alex but it was 10 minutes. At the time I was terribly disappointed with the race officials so we simply headed for Indiana. In retrospect I wish we had been at the finish line too. Oh well, can't turn back the clock.
