Stoped by my local mechanic today and he told me he bought a really clean spitfire as part of a big snowmobile group purchase, and wondered if I was interested. I checked it out. It is really clean and in great shape. I pulled the cord and it almost fired on the first pull. Seat is original and has no cracks. It has been stored indoors obviously. No idea on miles as it was a speedoless from the factory. Really nice sled. I did not ask how much he was asking.
I am not interested but maybe some one here is.
Sutters Speed Shop in Madison WI. Ask for Steve the owner and told him that Matt Gabler spread the word about the spitfire he had.
Don't ask him about any other JD sleds/parts he has as that is my private stash!
