Wow that sled is mint. If it has been restored they did an awsome job! One of my dads former imployers loved my spitfire when i brought it up to the bush last year. he used to own a skiroul and said it was a good machine. I like the speedo in the handle bars also, like the yamahas. what kinda motor is in these sleds? is it a good one or one that your gonna work on constintly?

That '73 RTX is said to have 517 miles on it. It is ORIGINAL!

It is for sale too, $800

The series II Skiroules ran Sachs engines. I know absolutely nothing about Sachs.

The RTX had a forward mounted engine, and did very well on the tilt platform in its day.

The styling was way ahead of everyone else too, in my opinion.

Coleman sold the sled business to a wealthy individual in the mid '70s.
He sold parts of the company off, and they ceased production around '78 I think.

As a kid, I was loyal to our Deeres. But, those photos Matt posted reminds me how I felt about Skiroules back in the day.

A local dealer would have a booth at the County Fair, handing out literature, and selling sleds I imagine. I remember thinking, Damn those are hot looking sleds!

Now, put a contemporary, surgically enhanced Babe on those sleds................
Oh damn! must stop thinking bad thoughts

There are a couple Skiroule web sites:

RTX Doug

Skiroule Central

Compared to this site, both are pretty much a wasteland.
