clutch work.

Post by Viktory2k1 »

After riding around for a while, I came to the conclusion that RPM seemed a little on the low side. I changed the driven clutch spring to hole 3 but not sure of where it was. I think hole 2 which is factory. Sled seems better like more in the power range. Now I want to raise the drive engagement speed by 500 to 750 rpms. I have a rust colored spring(real rust) and it engages just under 4000 rpm.
this will be a 2 part msg as i have to make a phonecall that may time me out.....

The stock "F " weights with a new silver spring would give you a clutch engagement of 3700 to 3900 rpm. If you knew someone with the spider removal tools, remove one of the spacers under the spider and that would increase the engagement just over 4,000 rpm.
