No fire at plugs

Post by liquifire »

HI Guys,I,am having trouble getting spark at the plugs.I have a new cdi, ignition coils, caps and plugs.I also installed a new stator and timing ring.Could the problem be with the flywheel.I know the capacitors are charging but the scr switches are not opening.I have removed the lighting circuit and kill circuit to help close in on the problem.I checked the magnet on the pulse puck, but not sure how strong it is or should be.I also noticed that the magnet is exposed on either side of the gear tooth.About and inch .Is this normal ? THe sled is a 1978 liquifire 440. It seems like the cdi is not getting the pulse. Please help if you can.

Never heard of the magnets sticking out an inch. I must follow this topic. Maybe something is not wired right between stator and CDI?

A photo of that flywheel would help.
