Are YOUR Sleds Ready for Summer?

Post by JD600 »

Hi Guys.

I didn't know where to put this, so i decided to post it here to get the attention of as many people as possible. I am currently buttoning up a rebuild on an 800 for a customer and this morning I found something that i thought was worth sharing. When i went to install the air box onto the carb, i looked inside the box and the inlet tube to make sure it was clear, as i always do, and this is what i found....

Since it is that time of year, i thought it would be a good time to remind everyone to make sure that their sleds are properly stored. Putting forth minimal time and expense NOW can save you big down the road.

Scott and I found the mate to this mess in one of my sleds while we were wrenching in the rain at the Milbank Show.

Once again thanks for the help and fellowship Scott.

I am an avid user of Tomcat mouse poison. I rent out space in my machine shed for campers and rv's and like to keep the mouse population down around the farm!!

You need a good screen on your intake. When you suck that mouse nest into the case, it makes for a problem. :bonk:

Yep. I have screens on all of mine. This one will be getting the same treatment before it leaves.
