1980 Trailfire Parts

Post by juanage69 »

I have a 1980 trailfire that was a parts sled, most parts have been taken off of it, but there are still some good parts (tunnel, bellypan, steering, handlebars, ect.) If anyone wants it let me know, would rather see it get used than go to a scrapyard. Im located in west michigan.

Any takers? Going to the scrap yard this week. Also has a good crack free hood and gas tank.

Hi,

Is this sled gone...I could use a headlight and the voltage regulator if they work.

Thanx

Sorry no regulator or headlight. Just a bare bones sled, tunnel, belly pan, two hoods, gas tank, steering, clutches, exhaust and bottom end of the engine (seized). FYI, Napa has headlight bulbs for $9.

It's a H5006 bulb, they show them for $8.10 online. Also I've seen voltage regulators on eBay for pretty cheap.

Oh, is the Trailfire light different from a Liquifire (cause thats what I really want it for) and my bulb is a GE 4492 and that part is NLA from Napa and he couldn't find a current cross??

The headlight is the exact same headlight used in cars. It can be found at any auto parts or farm supply store.

This is also true weither it is a round or rectangler lamp. I think the round one is only $7.

But don't walk in and tell them you need a headlight for a JD sled. They may send you to your local snowmobile dealer.

Regular old 1157 lamp fits the taillight and will set you back 99 cents.

Todd,

Do you have a part number for the round sealed beam cause Napa does not carry the GE 4492 and no I did not tell him it was for a snowmobile.

H5006 5 3/4" sealed beam H/L.

In a older car with 4 round headlights this is the outer two bulbs.
The inner ones were High beam only(two contacts).
