Shipping a sled questions

Post by gnfreak »

I've got a guy from Pennsylvania interested in my 83 Snowfire. I've never shipped anything like this before and am looking for any advice you guys may want to give. I have heard that shipping between businesses is cheaper than residences and might be able to ship sled from my work. I also have access to some big pallets to construct a crate if need be. Thanks in advance.

shipping from a business is cheaper and putting it on a pallet sounds like the way to go. I would have the driver inspect it for damage while your there and have the buyer do the same.

I've had a sled shipped from central Michigan to Northwest Iowa for $260. I used uship.com and set the price. That method works well for me. You don't need any pallets and it can be picked up and dropped off at residence or business
