Sprintfire tie rods

Got enough snow to ride on a couple of weeks ago and noticed the steering was binding somewhat. Being a former ( cough, cough ) old Ski-doo guy I'm not real familiar with JD tie rods. Are they bent or curved at all? One of mine actually has an S shape. I never heard of a tie rod being anything but straight on anything, and the pics in the parts catalog don't look curved. This is the machine with a blink VIN, so it probably got whacked good at some point in it's life. The right side rod is rubbing on the body where it goes thru causing the binding. Insight would be appreciated. This on an 83 Sprintfire. The good news is it's running great thanks to a few carb tips from this site.
