WTB: Liquifire recoil part and tool

Post by webman »

Looking for M68161, the spacer on the clutch. Also looking for JDM-113, the recoil spring winding tool. Hands are getting a little soar rewinding the spring.

An easy way I found to rewind the spring is to hook the end on the housing where it belongs then take a pair of pliers and hook the one handle into the other hook in the center of the spring. Wind it up until all of it is inside the housing where is belongs. Then slowly let it unwind. It usually takes a second person to make sure the spring stays flat but once it's unwound inside the housing it stays there petty well. Then just drop in all the other parts! This method only usually takes about 7 mins for me. Hope I was clear enough in the instructions

There is a post somewhere that Sprailfire posted a very slick way to wind up a spring as well.
