Article in "Green Magazine"

Post by Norton »

Anyone see the new issue of the "Green Magazine" that has been out a week or so? Has a article about JD snowmobiles written by Darren & Mark Redding from Burlington, Indiana. Then the back cover has great picture of very nice 78 Liquifire submitted by Roy Cooper of Magnetawan, Ontario. Guess sleds go with the winter issue! Course it has a perfect side council 3020 Diesel on the front cover. Is on the news stands in TSC and other farm type hardware stores. Do both contributors belong to this site? If so, GREAT JOB GUYS!

Just got mine yesterday. I am seeing a lot more interest in the sleds from the tractor guys than in the past.

Darren indeed is a member. He was with us last year at RWTC along with his wife Polly and they plan on going again in 2015. Darren and his father are premier restorationists, especially lawn and garden John Deeres.

They do restore their own sleds and most likely would customers too. There's always the Amber clan for restorations too ( cheap advertisement).

Thank you for the kind words. My Dad and I restore just about anything John Deere. We specialize in Lawn and Garden and consumer products.
We have been writing for Green Magazine for about a year now and we also write for Lawn and Garden Tractor magazine. We are really trying to write about John Deere equipment that people don't really think about. We have a large collection of JD sleds so it is near and dear to our hearts. Thank you again.
See you in St. Germain

I also get the Green Magazine. That was a excellent article. I only have one tractor but it's pretty special. Not that a 1951 JD B is rare or anything but it was my great-grandfather's tractor. My dad's uncle inherited it from his father when he passed away. When my dad's uncle passed away my dad helped with the auction and my dad's aunt gave it to him for helping. Five years ago my dad gave it to me. Someday it will go to one of my sons so it will stay in the family.
