78 liquifire

Post by Jimmy »

Looking at a 78 440 Liquifire that I plan on buying. I opened the hood to take a look and see there is only one carburetor not two. It looks like it has been that way forever. Anybody ever seen a single carb liquifire??

Hi James, they never came with one carb. You know I never found that Sprintfire bumper. It seems hard to believe but it either blew out of the back of my truck or someone lifted it. I hope you ended up finding one. Guess I should have mailed it. LOL

Is it the correct engine?

Maybe someone put a Cyclone manifold on the original engine in an attenpt to tame the savage beast.

Thats what I was thinking, must of been off of a 440 cyclone.

Duane, no I didn't find a bumper yet. Still looking for a good bumper off of a Snowfire or Sprintfire. Anybody have one?? I need two of them.
