I have a 78 spitfire with the Kohler motor in need of stator. Any help is appreciated thanks

Are you sure you need one? I have a 79 with the Kohler motor... Was getting weak spark. Thought it was stator. When I took the stator off, if was very rusted, as was the flywheel. (There is an open hole at the top of the housing that is used for ignition timing... It lets in a ton of water over time). Took a dremel with a wire brush to the metal leads and cleaned off all the rust. Then used electronics cleaner to clean it up. Now the spark is hot and strong...

No new stator needed...
