This weekend was the Classic Snowmobile Round-up Show and Swap up in St Germain.
I couldn't attend because of trying to make a living farming, but I got to participate to a degree just the same.
Brock had been assisting me in acquiring a few NOS parts, and I had a ski and a battery box that needed to go to Rainville, and finding a box to ship a ski in is a pain. So when I learned that Brock was driving up to the show, I invited him to swing by and we could avoid shipping this stuff.
So Friday morning, Matt Gabler drove in ( pulling his trailer ) with Brock and his wife Tammy. My wife Katy had volunteered to make them breakfast, nothing too fancy, just scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, and some homemade cinnamon rolls. I guess it was OK, they ate it.
Before they departed, we got all the parts sorted out, loaded and unloaded, and directed towards their recipients.
It was a great pleasure to see Matt and Brock, and to meet Tammy. I have met so many great folks through this site over the past..., well, it is over 10 years now.
I chatted with Rainville on his way up from Texas, until Cari was yelling; QUIT CALLING! Apparently she wanted alone time with Lord Rainville.
But hey, he had texted me!
Sounds like the show went well despite a couple of showers that came through Sunday. The guys scored some NOS parts doing a little pre-swapping on Saturday. And ground was indeed broken Saturday afternoon for the museum addition. Some good things are happening up there!
The next big thing up there is the Ride with the Champs in February, and I understand that a photo that I took on the Bogie Bash, has made it into next years brochure!
