Removing secondary

Few questions about the secondary on my 81 spitfire.
I waded up the track so need to replace it. I am familiar with removing clutches on my new ski doo but not sure how to remove the ones on this sled. Here are some pictures. Does this bolt I removed from the secondary look right? Seems homemade? Do I used the water trick and the factory bolt to remove it? Any help is appreciated, I want to get this thing going again before we lose all our snow.

The retainer cap with the lug and the narrow shim are factory but the bolt is too long if those washers are needed to get it tight. There should be only a small 5/16 I.D. washer behind the bolt head, then the cap with the lug that matches the keyway in the shaft. The inner large diameter shim(s) are used as required to maintain proper belt tension. Someone with a Spitfire can measure their bolt so you can size that one and make new threads if you can't locate a replacement. Rotate the helix and compress the spring to allow room for something such as a screwdriver handle to hold the sheaves apart and the clutch can be removed easily unless it's corroded to the shaft. If it's not free to remove I think there's a secondary removal thread archived on the site that may involve the water trick, but not certain. The primary can be removed with a proper clutch puller that bolts on in place of the retaining bolt and washer. New Breed has the correct puller if you need one.
