Kawasaki ring end gap
Kawasaki ring end gap
Ok guys....I have an issue. Iam hoping all you informed guys or gals can help. I bought a set of Kawasaki Free Air cylinders awhile back with pistons, rings, circlips from eBay that were supposedly tested at Kawasaki factory.( You may have seen them, still on there). They are 60mm chrome bore. Chrome is super clean. They come with OEM Kawasaki pistons. Cylinders match mine. Problem is ring end gap is .024 on top ring (on both) and .021 on bottom ring(on both). My tech manual states .011 to .019 tolerance. What should I do? Buy different rings? Just fyi...when I took my original cylinders off one was Shot and replaced with steel liner(pto side). The other was original chrome and had some flaking above ports. Iam NOT AT ALL trying to blame seller. I just want to know what to do. This sled is done except motor. Crankshaft is getting checked out soon. With new parts. Just confused on cylinders. Thanks for anyone's help. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
