I got a 76 300 and when i hit the throttle you have to push it like half way before the sled starts to go...Is that something jd sleds do or is there a way i can fix it? the belt is in really good condition. Any suggestions??

Please clarify: is the engine bogging, or is it revving up and the sled just isn't moving?

Its reving up just have to give it a little more throttle before it actually moves.

When I was a kid I don't rember having this problem. As soon as it was running, I'd peg the throttle lever and watch the snow fly out the rear!
Question: what is part throttle?
