We spent a few days in the Northwoods this last weekend, visited with friends, ate too much, and attended the vintage snowmobile activities hosted by the Snowmobile Hall of Fame. The Meet and Greet was well attended late Saturday afternoon, as was the Swap and Show on Sunday.
I was looking for a few bits and pieces for a future project, and had some success. I picked up a hex driveshaft that appears to have come from a Trailfire, and an 80+ chain case housing. I filed a small ridge off the end of the driveshaft to allow a bearing to slide on. I may have to rough up the shaft a little to get a snug fit of the bearing, but even now the bearing is not spinning on the shaft, so it should be good.
The weather was great, and it really didn't appear that fuel prices were scaring anyone away.
