said i would post the results well here they are
i took the stator plate completely off and brought it in the house and checked all the wires with a battery charger to see what was conneceted and what was not
after all this i find out that the only reason that it did not start last night was because when i put hte leads back on the points i put them on under the spacer grouning it all out instead of above the spacer
now i have a very nice very strong blue spark sprayed a lil carb cleaner in the carb and she took off like a shot
i cant thank you guys here enough without your insite and information i dont think i would have ever gotten this to run
hope you dont mind but now you are all stuck with another John Deere fan on the forums
