Brake rotor rattles

My 1978 Cyclone brake rotor rattles when you drive the sled at all speeds and types of terrain. I tried to adjust the brake to stop this but had it so tight the brakes drag. Would a worn out key way or rotor cause this problem?

the rotor is supposed to move back & forth sideways. A worn key-way could cause the rattle.

there is a spring type clip opposite of the keyway that prevents just your problem spring may be broken missing or just lost tension... to get at it however you have to remove the whole jackshaft.

Will check for a worn key way and make sure the spring clip is there but not worn in the morning.. To cold in the garage right now heats been off all day.. Thanks for the info guys.

Thanks for the info Rodimus Prime.. just bent that little spring clip with some pliers put it back together and no more noise. Thanks again.
