choke cable
Hello Jeff:
My service manual says to pull the choke assembley out of the carb, and with the choke lever in the off possition adjust the choke so that there is between 31 and 33mm from the end of the choke plunger(very bottom) to the flat part on the bottom side of the brass nut that treads into your carborator(just to the top of the threads on the nut). to adjust the distance loosen off the small locking nut and turn the larger adjusting nut until you have the right distance, then tighten the locking nut. make sure you remeasure the distance after you tighten the locking nut, sometimes you will change it when you try to tighten the lock nut. then reinstall the choke assembly.
