Carb question

What is the correct carb for a KEC 440/21 engine. What is the correct Walbro carb. I was also thinking of switching over to a better carb. Does anyone know what I could use?

The 1973 JD X8 had the 440/21 engine with a Walbro WDA-34 . You could install a mikuni, but if you are unfamiliar with Mikuni carb tuning, don't do it. There are rebuild kits still available for your walbro.

I have a WDA-33. Should that matter? Is there any other carbs besides Mikuni?
