I'm looking at a 74 JD300, all there all original minus the windshield. It appears to be in great shape, good seat, good paint, clean engine, and supposedly ran a few years ago. Guys asking $300. Is it worth it? I've brought a few sleds home recently and don't know if I should push my luck on this one with the misses.
 Usual other questions for me. Parts easy/hard to find?

74 JD 300
bowman,
The model 300 is one of a line of sleds that we title "100 series" sleds. I do not know the production numbers on this sled but if it is like the rest of the 100 series sleds than there are a lot of them. Usually the more sleds that were produced the less expensive they are. Parts are very easy to come by as most parts interchange from the other 00 series sleds.
As for a value, it depends on condition and how badly you want it, etc. For me to pay 300 for that sled it would have to be in very good condition.
Just my opinion.
Thanks and Good Luck!
