I recently replaced the chain case oil with a synthetic 75W-90W gear lube. Will this be ok...or do I need to run something a little thinner? All it said in the manual was to use the polaris chain case oil.
Thanks,
Eric

i would change it, that seems to be to thick. polaris chain case oil isn't that expensive and is about the same thickness as dexton. i know amsoil also makes a chain case lube that works.

Alright...I'll have to change it when I get it out in the fall. I kind of figured it was a little thick.
Thanks!

Ya my dad uses the Amsoil. I used some 80W-125 I think of my neighbors it was for his Deers transfer case or something. BOB

Polaris does sell both a synthetic and a non synthetic chaincase lube....at least I think they still make the non synthetic. Personally, I'd go with the non synthetic if it's available because the synthetic stuff will leak past the tiniest imperfection in a seal, gasket, or o-ring.
