when i pull my engine over it the headlights still light up and the gauge lights light up so should i still ohm test the alternator/generator thing. or does this mean my CDI box is done for good

Daverz,
There are 2 seperate electrical windings on the stator, one for the ignition and the other for the lights. If you have no spark, read my post in the FAQ section,
