1977 Polaris Colt 340 S/S

I've got a 1977 Polaris Colt 340 S/S with 227 actual miles that is in marvelous condition. However, the hydralic brakes aren't working. Anyone out there have any idea if brake problems are common on these sleds and where to start to get them working again.
