As many of you know I built a custom sled a couple years ago that I named Wildfire. Now I heard that John Deere made a sled called Wildfire. Is it true? And if they did does anyone have any pictures? My Wildfire name came as a derivative of Starfire. Didnt mean to steal it. But if JD did have a Wildfire, I will allow 50 lashes with a wet noodle from a site member of your choice
But I am very curious about the possibility of this being true. Thanks Doc

Did JD make a Wildfire?
Doc,
I have a pic of the letter that states that the 1980 "Liquifire II" should be called "Wildfire." It was only a proposal, and never used. It was once thought that that was the name of the IFS Liquifire Prototypes or maybe a 530cc Interceptor powered type sled. We got the facts at the HOF last year.
No harm done with your Starfire custom "Wildfire"!
