Is there a website that show mid 70's Skidoo part breakdowns?

Hi Kenny,
I learned this morning that the Bosch CDI system that is on my Hirth 500 is the same as on mid 70's TNT.
I was looking for a skidoo part number.

Or the actual part.

Kenny,

I may be interested in the seat back. We've got a '69 & '70 Ski-Doo 12/3 and one is in need of the storage bin. Any pictures?

Would it be one of those Bosch Polar Fire set ups? If so, I understand they were quite troublesome. I don't have any left, but if it's a Polar Fire you are after, send me a message and I'll try to get you some contact info for a guy I know who might have one.

Hi Pete,
I received a phone call this AM from Bosch Tech Service.

They told me this same system that is in my Scorp/Hirth is also used in some mid 70's Rotax engines, ie TNT.

So if I can get the Bombardier number I can try ordering it from DOO.

I do not know if this Polar is what I have but all I need is the trgger coil on the stator.

Thanks for helping me out on this one Pete.

Maybe you guys can tell me what I rode last weekend. It was a old Bombardier, neet little thing

A pale tan in colour
A raised V on the hood red in colourwith the word Bombardier on it
When it wasn't moving it sounded like it was going to shake apart, so I think it was a cast motor?
Ran smooth when moving

I was just wondering what time frame this was sled is from. It was a neat little relic.

1965 had the raised V on the hood. I think that was the only year that featured that.

check out "bob's tnt page". He has quite a few parts breakdowns. You would be looking for 73-74 Tnt Free airs and then the 75-78 Rv's, they all had the bosch ignition.

Hi Richard, thank you very much for the assistance.

Yes, that looks like the motoscooter.

Bob's parts link shows that the entire stator plate was the only way it was sold.

Now where do I go to find one?

I have little knowledge of sleds that are yellow and have no contacts.

All I need is the one trigger so if there was a partial plate that would suit me to a T.

If you have ideas on where to send me please let me know.
Thanks again.

Yes, 1965 Olympic had the raised V in the hood with perforated holes, but they were yellow.

I guess someone panted the V on the hood sometime in the last 43 years. Are they supposed to make a lot of noise when they idle or was there a problem with this one?

Scott, I think what Matt meant is that the hoods were yellow....not tan. The V was yellow, but the Ski Doo logo above it was painted red from the factory. Regarding the sound, well they aren't the quietest sleds around, but it shouldn't be obnoxiously loud. Check the muffler and the manifold for cracks. Those 65 Ski Doos are starting to be worth a fair bit of coin. Is it an Olympique or a Chalet? The 65 Olympique had a 247 cc engine and I believe the Chalet had a smaller mill. Displacement should be on a tag on the RH side of the engine on the blower housing. How about a pic of the sled? Another forum member who has a 1965 Olympique was kind enough to display it in my shop for awhile. Here's a pic of it. Wish I had one like it.

I just read this post and had a question. I just picked up a 73 tnt 294 its a net little sled painted silver with dual carbs. Can anyone tell me anything about it or where I might find parts? It has primer bulbs on it I think they are way to big they look like there of a boat motor about 4-5" long thanks Shannon
