1979 Trailfire 440
1979 Trailfire 440
I just bought a 1979 Trailfire 440, complete sled decent shape, the sled has no speedometer or tach, it just has the ignition switch and choke no holes for the speedo or tach. Where there many of these made or did I find something special? Joe

Hello Joe,
Most every 79 Trailfire was built w/o gauges. I "think" it was a dealer option since the early "Short" dashes are easy to find as take-offs.
Rich can probably add more to this, but it basically looks like yours sled was one of the ones not upgraded. All 80-84 Trailfires came with at least a speedo.
