Cyclone Stator

Post by mgabl072 »

A couple months ago I took my 76 Cyclone 440 into the shop to have new brakes put on and some minor summer things. I mentioned to the mechanic that the sled just seemed to bog down. He came back that my stator is bad which is not sending enough spark to the CDI and thus the bog down.

Since that time I posted on the classified to find a new or working stator with not much luck. I did find a stator from another sled and when we put that in I totally lost spark on everything. We are still thinking it is the stator and the stator I just took them is no good.

Help! Right now I am without a running sled for the winter and vintage ride up in St. Germain. Time flies before you know it the snow will fly and I will be without my ride.

Thoughts to double check or any one have a stator for a 76 cyclone they would part with.

Help much appreciated because right now I am up a creek.
Thanks
Matt
