Big Sandy Ride

Post by guitardude081 »

I was going through some old pics and I found these. They're from this years Big Sandy Vintage Ride. Chis Dotzler (JDdecalguy) couldn't make it, and he usually does a good job of documenting all of the cool stuff that shows up. This is Tasky's buddy's Dator and I believe the 440 Liquifire is his buddy's too. I probably stood there for a half hour marveling at the Dator, and Tasky's pristine original 1984 Liquifire (not pictured).

Never mind, Tasky! Jack promised he would sell it to me when he was ready. I made a better deal with him behind your back at Big Sandy that day. $50.00 doesn't go very far these days, Tasky, especially when your talking a restored '84 Sprint. Get with the times! Jason

Tasky,
It's still kickin' around. It's burried way in the back of the guys pole barn. We're planning on dragging it out into daylight in the next few weeks. I remember making a deal w/Tasky while you guys were trying to drag him to the next bar. I want to clean it up and fix the hood and bumper before I sell it. I'll let you know when the time comes. I haven't forgotten about you.

Jack, are you going to Hay Days this year? If so we'll need to meet up and bring each other up to date. DA
Feel free to check out our website www.buscobullet.com for restorations or parts.

Don,
Not only will I be at haydays, but I'll have a spot in the swap meet. I'll have the worlds biggest pile of Polaris Indy parts. This time I won't let my phone die so I can figure out where the JD get together is. My parents live about 2 miles from haydays, so it's a good time to visit, and it usually means free lodging too.

Hi Jack,

I will also be at Hayday with some of the NY Posse. Although I will generally be digging for parts for my SnoCross sleds, I am always on the prowl for Deere stuff too. I might even pick up Joe Wanie on the way up, and I will have my cell charged.

Don, two words: "BEER TENT!"

Joe,
Hopefully I can meet up with you guys this time. Last year every time I asked if a vendor had JD parts, I would get the same response,"You're not that damned Joe Rainville are you?". I hear other guys got that response as well. I've got a few Cat parts in my swap meet inventory. Off the top of my head, I can say that I have a pair of 2005 440 L/C jugs, a ZR style tach, and a couple of the GOOD cat voltage regulators. I hope I can meet up with the Deere crew this year. I got to visit with Don for about 5 minutes before they hit the road on Sunday.
