1982 Liquifire Carb Setting????
1982 Liquifire Carb Setting????
I need carb settings for an 82 Liquifire, going to try and keep the stock power jet carbs on it for now. Ball park numbers are fine, if you can post your altitude and the temperature at which you run your settings at that will help. Would also be interested in what to run in a 102C on this sled as I will most likely not be running the stock clutch. Thanks! Adam

1982 Liquifire Carb Setting????
Hey Lug-Nut,
Adam, I think it's safe to say the stock jetting on an 82 is "about right" There were updates for the 80's, but the staggard jetting on an 82 was pretty good. Also, there is a specific Comet 108 that was made to replace the TR-800 on that sled. Better set up than a 102. But, if you do go 102-C on the drive, make sure you use the correct driven. Yes, I have several if you need one.

Either a 108 or a 102 is fine with me. How do I know if I have the "correct" 180 for the deere? Does anyone have a model number for the correct comet 108 to run on this? How about the correct belt number(aftermarket is fine)?
Stock jetting is fine? What!? So deere didnt fatten their sleds up from the factory? Interesting.
