340/S First Ride

Post by greenwood »

Had the 340/S out for the first ride today, started right up. Runs excellent, pretty fast as well, I reached 60mph with ease. I'm sure it would do 70+. It needs a new belt, does anyone know what part# from kimpex or carlise would fit this sled. Also Mark had BR10ES plugs in, would it be safe to run BR9ES? The plugs are a nice colour, I also have it mixed a little richer just to be safe. Thanks.

Dayco #HP3013.

The 340/S uses the same belt as a '81 Yamaha SRX.

I just bought new plugs for mine and the NGK book shows using B10ES plugs. I bought BR10ES because that's what they had on the shelf. The R just means its a resistor plug. If the plugs look good I'd leave well enough alone. Good thought on mixing it alittle rich!
