I will put this here as my question in another post that pertains to this is also here.
I took the jugs off and found piston residue attached to the cylinder wall. I tried to scrape it off with a razor blade and pocket knife but that took too long so I had my better half bring home some of "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner and applied it to the stuck on aluminum with a Q-Tip. It took a few apps but it got it off down to the scuffs on the cylinder. It foamed while it was on the aluminum but did nothing on the steel of the jug.
These jugs are off from a CCW 440 with steel sleeves so I don't know if it would work on chrome lined jugs.
If this has already been discussed I appologize!
Now to break out the hone to see if I can save the jug!!!
Later,
Thanks for the help with this so far!!
Later,
Kenny

Mix that stuff with tin foil and a 2 liter bottle and you got a pretty big bang. Just make sure you run like hell.

There is a post in the FAQ that explains using Muriatic acid to dissolve aluminum as well.

I have found that when using Muriatic Acid, the more the better it works, you just cant leave it on the cylinder too long. I poured the acid into the cylinder and scrubbed away with a medium grade scotchbrite pad and then rinsed. I did this about 3 times per cylinder.
