1976 Liquifire

Post by diehardsledder »

Hi Guys,
I am new to the sight and I am very happy to have stumbled upon it. I have my fathers 1976 Liquifire he bought from my cousin in 76' and I am in the process of restoring it. I just can't let that sled go,too many good memories. After a # of years and 4 kids riding it, the sled shows some pretty good wear and tear. The tunnel is in real good shape but the belly pan has some pretty good dents in her. Any suggestions on how I should tackle this? Do I go ahead and do the best I can with her, do the small imperfections give her character or do I look for another bulkhead? Thanks for your time.

RJ, First off Welcome, a Good thing to have for your yr. sled before starting is a John Deere Parts Manual so when asking if parts are available you can use a part number, 2nd is a John Deere Service Manual for doing the repairs your working on at the time.. both usually can be bought on Evil bay or some still can be purchased from Deere direct on line..

:welcome:

As Kenny said getting the manuals are really helpful in diagnosing your sled. Lucky for us Webman has put together a nice collection on his website

You can also check out the parts catalog at JD.

Good luck with your project. :thinksnow:

At the top of the page you'll see "User Control Panel" and beside that it should say that you have 1 message. If it does the click on that and it'll take you to your PM. If not, email me at bison1112002@yahoo.com
